“For Histoire d’amour, I was involved in assisting the development of each work in a collection of pieces by six different choreographers, as well as participating in the writing and editing of the script for the MC/storyteller. My main responsibility was to bring a cohesion to the proposed theme by integrating all the visual elements to support the vision of BoucharDanse’s Artistic Director, Sylvie Bouchard.” M-JC

A full-length dance-theatre work created for BoucharDanse, Histoire d’amour is based on an undying quest for love and a need to understand its meaning. Through a poignant and comical journey for two timeless lovers, the work  ponders the essence of this ethereal feeling we cannot live without.

Directed by Marie-Josée, the production premiered for DanceWorks Mainstage at the Harbourfront Centre / Enwave Theatre in Toronto May 3-5, 2012 before touring to Kingston and Hearst, Ontario, and returning to Toronto for Harbourfront’s NextSteps Series in 2018.
